SENIORS- CLASS OF 2024

We will send information at a later date about the needs for the senior slide show.
Graduation
May 24, 2024 - 7:00 pm graduation ceremonies will be held at the Southwestern Assemblies of God University; Shaeffer Life Center. Seating is first come, first served. Seats may not be reserved with signs, ribbons, etc.
All order forms (photos, flowers, DVDs) will be sent home mid April and must be returned by the specified deadline.
Graduation practice will be the morning of graduation. All seniors must report to school on time on the morning of practice IN DRESS CODE; NO SHORTS WILL BE PERMITTED. Students will board the bus to SAGU and return to school on the bus after practice. Any seniors not attending graduation practice will not participate in graduation ceremonies.
Cap & Gown Delivery
Caps, gowns & announcements must be ordered through Jostens. Ordering dates will be communicated to students and parents. (Students in the top 10% will wear white gowns at graduation. The top 10% will be confirmed at the end of the 5th grading period, and students will be able to trade their red gowns for white at this time.) Payments and/or questions should be directed to Jostens.
Baccalaureate
Sunday, May 19th (tentative) - Baccalaureate is an optional multi-denominational ceremony to celebrate and send off graduating seniors sponsored by all of the Maypearl-area churches. This year's Baccalaureate location will be announced at a later date. Students will need to be at the church 45 minutes in advance and bring their pressed gowns only (no caps).
Senior Reception & Walk/High School Awards Ceremony/Local Scholarship Presentation
Seniors and their parents are invited to attend a reception in their honour at the Hagee Communication Center Auditorium at SAGU. Seniors will be recognized as they enter the auditorium. Local Scholarship presentation and High School awards will follow.

Transcript Requests
Students must request transcripts in writing. You may:
- complete the transcript request form in the Counseling Office
- enter your request in Naviance and email the update to Mrs. Canida at jaime.canida@maypearlisd.org
- use a secure document service such as SendEDU or Parchment. Use Mrs. Canida's contact information and email (jaime.canida@maypearlisd.org). You may choose to pay for this service and set up your own account or some colleges offer this service free of charge to applicants.
Seniors will be asked to submit where they would like their final transcripts sent prior to graduation. Final transcripts will be mailed the week following graduation.
Students in need of a transcript from Navarro College may request it online or in person.

- America's Farmers Scholarship: Students that are planning to pursue a degree in specific areas of agriculture may be eligible for this scholarship. See website for additional eligibility requirements.
- Aspiring Animation Professional Scholarship Program: Students who are interested in pursuing an animation career path at an accredited post-secondary school or college.

- Dallas Scottish Rite Scholarship: Eligibility requirements are within the application. Click on the website and contact Dallas Scottish Rite directly to request an application, as it is no longer posted on the webpage.
- Dallas Society of Women Engineers: Is offering scholarships varying from $500-$1000. It will be awarded to female high school seniors who will be majoring in engineering. Please visit the site for detailed information about the organization and to obtain Scholarship and Certification information and forms.
- Financial Futures Scholarship
- GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program: High school seniors are eligible for $10,000 renewable scholarships -up to $40,000 per student.
- Glenn Mandeville Memorial Scholarship: Each year, EECU awards up to eight $5,000 scholarships for students who are pursuing a four-year bachelor's degree.
